Job Role: Interim Project Systems Implementation Contract Duration: 6-12 Months Rate: DOE IR35: Inside IR35. Hybrid: Predominantly remote working (as and when needed in office). Days: Happy considering part time or full time (more likely to be full time towards the go live date). Earliest Start Date: ASAP Main duties: Core focus is to run the project of either upgrading version of Efinancials from V6 to Financials (Cloud) or to run the project of implementing a new financial system most likely Technology One. Project likely to begin across September/October. There will not be any management responsibilities. Day to day tasks consist of: Lead financial systems projects, upgrades, and implementations. Manage and develop the Council's corporate financial management systems. Support finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. Configure, maintain, and monitor financial and procurement systems. Manage system security, user access, testing, training, and documentation. Support budgeting, budgetary control, financial reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes. Work closely with Finance, ICT, software suppliers, and external stakeholders to resolve system issues and deliver improvements. Candidate Requirements: Must have experience either upgrading or implementing a new finance system end to end and leading on this. Specific experience using Efinancials and/or Technology One is not essential. Specific local authority experience doing the above is also preferable but the client are happy to consider other local government backgrounds.
