Childcare workers for family home services
Childcare work in families’ homes in Vantaa and Kerava; Finnish fluency and childcare experience required.
We are looking for CHILDCARE WORKERS for family home services in the wellbeing services county of Vantaa and Kerava! In this job, you will care for our client families’ children in their own homes and support the smooth running of everyday family life and parents’ ability to cope. Through your work, you will help prevent and ease difficulties affecting children and families as early as possible. We offer work according to your own circumstances, with families that suit you. A shift with a family usually lasts 2–4 hours at a time. Work is available on weekdays between 16:00 and 21:00 and on Saturdays between 08:00 and 18:00. You can choose when you want to work! It would be ideal if you could commit to at least one of our client families for approximately 2–3 months. We are happy to employ you more nearly full-time as well, although the work is paid by the hour. If you wish, you can work a shift with two different families on the same day. The work takes place mainly in our client families’ homes and their surroundings, in different parts of Vantaa and Kerava. WE OFFER YOU: - €16.92 per hour, plus evening and weekend supplements under the private social services collective agreement - A transfer bonus for every transfer during your workday if you work with several families on the same day - Paid, comprehensive orientation to the work - The opportunity for regular training and to develop your work - Emergency first-aid training - Support from a supervisor alongside your independent work - Statutory occupational healthcare - Accident insurance We also have a recruitment bonus. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: - A childcare worker qualification or another suitable vocational qualification in social or healthcare services. You may be a practical nurse, basic care worker, home-help worker or a professional with equivalent training. - Professional experience working with children and families - An initiative-taking approach and the ability to work independently - Fluent spoken and written Finnish - Experience caring for young children You must have at least one referee from previous employment working with children and a clean criminal record for working with children. The selected person must present the criminal record extract referred to in section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act. Registration in Valvira’s Central Register of Health Care Professionals is required for the role. We also value experience caring for children with special support needs, such as neurodevelopmental challenges or autism spectrum conditions.
