Lapin hyvinvointialue is seeking a Service Manager for the dental services unit at Lapin keskussairaala’s oral health clinic and the Sehyk unit at Piekkarin dental clinic. The role begins by agreement. The Service Manager’s duties include acting as the administrative supervisor for the district’s nursing staff. A second task is to be responsible for the district’s operations development, organization, and leadership together with the Chief Dentist. The Service Manager also partly carries responsibility for achieving the health region’s oral health care objectives. We expect the Service Manager to work in Lapland’s multidisciplinary oral health care supervisory team and to drive changes and reforms to practical level. Personal qualities we require: good communication and collaboration skills, initiative and a positive attitude. We value the candidate’s willingness to develop, learn new things and advance the unit’s activities with their own expertise. The eligibility criteria require the candidate to hold a degree in specialized dental care (erikoishammashoitaja), dental hygienist or dental technician according to the Health Care Professionals Act. Excellent Finnish language skills are required. Experience as a supervisor and a higher AMK degree or other leadership training are beneficial when applying for the Service Manager post. Terms follow the Social Welfare and Health Agreement. A six-month probation applies. Vaccination protection follows compulsory vaccination requirements under the Public Health Act and communicable disease act. The position is filled online via Kuntarekry.
