Early Childhood Education Teacher

This vacancy is for an occasional (temporary) teaching position at Illenpihan Unit of Vantaa City’s Early Childhood Education. The successful candidate will work in a two-teacher group with one child caretaker to implement a sensitive and safe daily routine where the child is at the center of activity. The unit operates within Illenpihan early childhood education unit together with Illenpuisto Daycare, and the team is described as enthusiastic, committed, and supportive. The role involves reading the needs of children and the team, adapting various activities, and participating in a culture of experimentation and development. You will work under the ProVaka model aimed at supporting children’s social skills, and you will be expected to act in accordance with the unit’s principles in collaboration with other staff. Requirements include strong Finnish writing and speaking skills, good teamwork, and dedication. Experience in early childhood education is a plus. The contract terms follow the Municipal Teachers’ Collective Agreement; the position is full-time with a 6-month trial period. Salary is 3129.46–3234.53 EUR/month, with allowances for qualifications and master’s degree, plus 3–8% seniority pay depending on experience.
