Street Master

The Street Master serves as a team leader for the maintenance of traffic routes within the Construction and Traffic Areas unit. Key responsibilities include work management, supervision of winter maintenance area contracts, monitoring hourly-priced machine services, supervising paving contracts, and procurement related to traffic route maintenance. Additionally, the role involves handling private road matters in collaboration with the property secretary and acting as a presenter for the technical section regarding private roads. The Street Master may serve as a deputy for the construction manager in municipal engineering construction. Annually, the role is responsible for the implementation of specific traffic area construction projects. The position requires significant customer service, interaction with various stakeholders, and operational planning. Requirements include practical experience and expertise in traffic route maintenance and construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and knowledge of the municipal operating environment. A valid Class B driver's license is essential. The eligibility requirement is at least a suitable university of applied sciences degree, a corresponding previous institute-level degree, or a degree from a technical institution combined with relevant experience.
