Field Service Technician

We are looking for a travel-ready service technician for our client TruTekniikka Oy for a permanent position. The primary location is Jyväskylä or Eastern Finland, but you can live elsewhere in Finland because the work involves travelling from Monday to Friday. During the week, you will travel to customers around Finland and working days are spent mainly in customers’ production environments. What does the work involve? TruTekniikka sells and services TRUMPF metalworking machines and machines from its partners. The range includes laser-cutting and tube-laser equipment, punching and bending machines, and various welding and finishing solutions. As a service technician, you will work with these machines and be responsible for their maintenance, repairs and installations. The work is practical and varied. Your days may include, for example: * machine maintenance and repair * machine installation and commissioning * troubleshooting and resolving technical problems * guiding customers and providing commissioning training * learning more demanding maintenance and repair tasks as you gain experience. You will not be left on your own. You will receive comprehensive onboarding and initially work alongside a more experienced colleague. After onboarding, you will also attend a training period of approximately one month near Stuttgart, Germany. You do not necessarily need to be an experienced specialist. Technical interest, practical skills and a willingness to learn are most important. You may have, for example: * vocational technical education, a lower university degree or other suitable technical training * experience with machinery, electrical engineering, automation, maintenance or servicing * at least approximately one year of work experience in technical duties * an interest in troubleshooting and repairing machines and technical systems. Knowledge of electrical engineering is useful. Familiarity with network settings and fieldbus technologies is also considered an advantage. Most important is that you are proactive and practical, enjoy problem-solving, get along with different people and are willing to take on new situations. Fluent Finnish and English are required for the role. German language skills are a plus. Travel work – is it right for you? This role generally involves travelling to customers around Finland from Monday to Friday. It is therefore particularly suitable for someone who enjoys mobile work and does not want to spend every working day at the same office. You do not need to live in Jyväskylä, provided you are ready to travel as required by the work.
