Network Specialist

We are looking for a motivated team player who enjoys a responsible expert role and wants to join our knowledgeable work community to develop and grow. We produce critical telecommunications services for society across the country, relying on our own backbone network. In addition to backbone network services, our services include firewalls, local-area network solutions, load balancing and application publishing. In this role, you will plan, install and maintain our customers’ critical network environments. Alongside other telecommunications specialists, you will also be responsible for building and developing our customers’ data networks. To succeed in the role, you need: - Several years of work experience and solid expertise in wired and wireless networks. - Knowledge of firewalls and routing. - Knowledge of load balancing and related technologies. - Education suitable for the role, such as a telecommunications engineering qualification. - Skills in telecommunications design, including network design. - Good Finnish and English skills. - A category B driving licence. Further information: - Start date: by agreement. - Location: Kuopio. - The selected candidate will undergo a basic security clearance and a drug test. Salary: The starting salary is between €3,300 and €4,400 per month, depending on expertise and experience. You will be covered by the KT enterprise-sector collective agreement, which brings public-sector employment benefits, including: - A shorter regular working week of 36.25 hours, allowing more time for recovery and work-life balance. - Generous annual leave, accruing up to 38 weekdays per year.
