Early Childhood Education Social Pedagogue

We are seeking a motivated and professional Early Childhood Education Social Pedagogue to join Laajavuoren day care as a development social worker. The role focuses on fostering community, child well-being, participation and a safe learning environment with emphasis on anti-bullying, support for emotional and peer skills, and parental support and development. You will participate in multi-disciplinary teamwork and refer families to other child and family services when needed. Core areas include implementing early childhood education, planning and evaluating your unit’s activities, promoting wellbeing and social skills, collaborating with families and guardians, and contributing to the unit’s development from a social-pedagogical perspective. Qualifications include knowledge of the national early childhood education act and early childhood education plan, strong collaboration skills, and proficiency in Finnish language (written and spoken).
