Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to join Suomen Rakennuskone Oy as a backup supervisor for the Vantaa location. Suomen Rakennuskone Oy (SR-O) was founded in 1992 and provides customer-oriented integrated solutions for earthmoving, industrial and mining companies, including sales, service, parts, and outfitting. The role involves performing maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and earthmoving equipment, fault diagnostics and solving complex technical problems, maintaining hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems, providing technical support to other mechanics, assisting the supervisor in planning, organizing and monitoring work, acting as on-call supervisor when needed, and ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality work. Work will occur at the Vantaa workshop and at customer sites, making days varied. The Vantaa site has a close-knit team and is undergoing a modernization of its facilities. What we expect from you: suitable technical training (e.g., heavy equipment, machinery or vehicle technician); strong experience in maintenance and repair of heavy machinery, work machines or similar equipment; excellent technical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve challenging faults; experience with hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems; ability to work independently and proactively; interest in supervisory tasks and willingness to take responsibility for smooth operations; ability to guide, advise and support other team members; good communication and collaboration skills and a customer-oriented approach; good Finnish language skills and ability to utilise English-language documentation from equipment manufacturers; B-driver’s license (C-driver’s license is an asset).
