Workplace model: Hybrid (3 days per week in office). Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required). Why this role matters: As a Senior Network Engineer, you\'ll help build the network behind a mission that matters: we defend nations and protect environments from space. Every satellite pass, image and customer delivery at ICEYE moves through the networks that connect our ground stations, data centers and cloud. You\'ll be one of the go-to experts for that network, leading the subsystems you own and shaping how the team designs, automates and runs them. Few network engineers get to work on infrastructure like this. What we do: ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth. ICEYE owns the world\'s largest SAR satellite constellation. We provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system. ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Your day-to-day responsibilities: Lead multi-sprint work on the network subsystems you own, from design through rollout and day-to-day operation; Design and evolve secure, reliable connectivity between ground stations, data centers and cloud environments; Design highly available networking setups for critical customer deployments; Build and manage network infrastructure through automation, API-driven configuration and version-controlled change across routers, switches and firewalls; Act as a go-to expert for deep network issues in production, and put patterns and guardrails in place that prevent them from coming back; Shape how the team designs, reviews and documents network changes, with the impact on other teams in mind; Set the standard for managing change in critical production systems; Own critical production systems with a focus on reliability, observability and security against real-world threats. What we\'re looking for: Must haves: Extensive experience designing and operating production IP networks, for example at an internet service provider, hosting or cloud provider, data center operator or systems integrator; Deep routing and switching expertise, including BGP and peering, data center and core networks, and multi-vendor environments; Hands-on experience running network infrastructure in at least one public cloud, AWS preferred; Experience with secure network design, including VPNs, firewalling and encrypted connectivity; Network automation with modern tooling such as Git, Ansible or Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines; Ability to lead network design decisions and to explain and defend the trade-offs with peers; Pragmatic, collaborative mindset with the ability to balance technical quality with business needs. Nice to haves: Software development experience, especially for network applications and automation (for example Python or Go); Experience with data center fabrics such as EVPN; Strong Linux networking skills; Experience and willingness for hands-on work with physical network and data center infrastructure. Application Process: TA Partner Screen Call; Hiring Manager Interview; Technical Interview; Values & Fit Interview; SVP of Engineering Interview. Working at ICEYE: At ICEYE, you\'ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
