The City of Vantaa is seeking a motivated and professional Early Childhood Education Social Worker for a development role at Laajavuori Daycare, part of the Jokiuoma unit. The daycare operates with co-leadership, where one leader manages staff and the other manages pedagogy. The unit participates in the ProVaka (Positively Learning in Groups in Early Childhood Education) development activity. The development social worker is responsible for promoting community, children's well-being, inclusion, and a safe operating environment. The role emphasizes the prevention of bullying, supporting children's emotional and social skills, and supporting and developing parenthood. The role involves multidisciplinary teamwork and guiding families toward other child family services when necessary. Key areas of work include: - Implementing early childhood education by participating in the planning, execution, and evaluation of the unit's activities. - Well-being work, including early identification and response to needs related to children's social skills, well-being, growth, and development. - Interaction and cooperation with families and guardians, as well as professional interaction within the work community and professional teams. - Evaluation and development of the unit's operations and active development of work practices from a social-pedagogical perspective, including evaluating and developing practices that support inclusion and well-being together with staff.

Requirements
- Knowledge of the early childhood education plan and the Early Childhood Education Act
- Collaboration skills
- Expertise in the development and support of children's social and interpersonal skills, as well as strengths and challenges of parenthood
- Experience with early childhood education methods, well-being, growth, and development
- Independent and developmental approach to work
- Ability to promote practices that support community, inclusion, and equality
- Good written and oral proficiency in Finnish
- Qualification as an early childhood education social worker
- Valid criminal record extract
- Tuberculosis clearance for those working with children under school age
