Nurse

The job is a permanent internal locum position for a nurse in the neuromodulation unit and the Porvoo psychiatry ward as part of the East and Central Uusimaa Psychiatry line. The neuromodulation unit administers ECT, TMS and ketamine therapies, and the internal locum participates in delivering these treatments. The Porvoo psychiatric ward is a 16-bed treatment and rehabilitation unit located at Porvoo Hospital. We treat adult patients regardless of diagnosis, which provides opportunities to develop professional skills broadly. The unit is in a bilingual area which offers a good chance to develop language skills; Swedish is beneficial. Requirements include strong professional nursing skills, psychiatric clinical experience, and the ability to work independently and make decisions. Good collaboration and communication skills and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team are beneficial. Proficiency in Finnish is required; Swedish is advantageous. Experience in neuromodulation nursing is a plus, but we provide training if needed. We will orient you to the work. Language requirement: good spoken and written Finnish; Swedish acceptable spoken and written, or Swedish good spoken and written with Finnish acceptable. Immunization against infectious diseases is required for staff working with customers/patients and a health clearance for TB for those in health care facilities.
