Sámediggi/Saamelaiskäräjät is seeking a fixed-term restaurant worker for Café Čaiju in Sajoks, Inari. Café Čaiju operates as a lunch cafe and cafe on weekdays and also handles coffee breaks and meals for meetings and events held in the cultural center. The restaurant has a permanent cook and a restaurant worker responsible for daily operations. The fixed-term restaurant worker will perform a diverse range of duties including customer service, preparation of cafe and restaurant products, catering for meetings and events, and other daily tasks, as well as assisting with dishwashing duties. The position is part of the Sajos service unit team, closely collaborating with other restaurant staff. The role begins as soon as possible for 12 months, with a 29–36.25 hour per week schedule (80–100%). Working hours are mainly on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00 at Café Čaiju in Sajoks, Inari. A four-month trial period applies. Requirements include suitable education and Sami language skills. A hygienic passport is required; a serving license is an advantage. Prior experience in similar duties, English proficiency, flexibility and good customer service are valued. Salary is determined by the Sámi Parliament’s pay scale level VI/III (base salary 2127.68 €/month) plus a 24% Sami regional allowance and experience-based allowances.
