About the role

We are hiring at Agnico Eagle Finland Oy for a temporary position as a Junior Mining Geologist at the Kittilä mine. The role is for a fixed term ending in late 2027 with a day-shift schedule; start date negotiable but hoped by August. The successful candidate will work at the Kittilä mine as a junior geologist, performing tasks such as planning drillings, logging drill holes, modeling ore bodies, calculations and reconciliation, managing geological data for the mine, and coordinating daily production-related activities with stakeholders. Requirements include a master’s degree in geology, preferably with mining experience, strong collaboration and organizational skills, proactiveness, precision, and good stress tolerance. Fluency in Finnish and English is desired, and experience with modeling software (Surpac, Deswik, Leapfrog) along with MS Office. Ability to work in a team and to make independent decisions is important.
