Job Description
Rinnekodit Kaski is seeking a Service Unit Manager for a fixed-term position from August 1, 2026, to January 10, 2027. The unit is located in Suutarila, Helsinki, and provides homes for 18 adults with intellectual disabilities across three group homes. In this role, you will oversee and develop the entire unit's operations, including the management of client work, personnel, and the unit's finances. You will ensure that clients enjoy a high-quality, individual life and that their right to self-determination is respected. You will lead the community with a coaching approach, encouraging staff and creating a positive atmosphere. Your goals include ensuring high-quality service in an economically and ethically sustainable manner, monitoring client experience, and promoting a positive employee experience based on wellbeing surveys. A solution-oriented attitude and the ability to maintain personal wellbeing under stress are essential. The community consists of approximately 20 professionals, including instructors, special instructors, a nurse, and a home caretaker. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social and health care (AMK) and registration with Valvira
- Social and health care professional card (Kanta) or readiness to acquire one during probation
- At least one year of experience in supervisory work or studies in management
- Understanding of coaching leadership
- At least five years of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities
- Proficiency in Finnish for client interaction and internal communication
