Information Security Intern

We are now looking for an intern for Kela’s Security Unit in Helsinki. The internship starts in January and ends in May. What is an internship in Kela’s Security Unit like? You will gain experience in security management at a large national organisation, information and cyber security management, and practical work developing and maintaining management systems. As an information and cyber security intern, you will take part in varied expert duties that particularly support the development of information security and compliance. You will work as part of an expert team and cooperate with different stakeholders. In addition to your internship in the unit, you will take part in Kela’s internship programme, which supports your professional development, helps you identify your strengths and plan your career. During the programme, you will network with other interns and gain an overall picture of Kela’s operations. At Kela, we believe the best ideas emerge together. What we offer - Salary of €2,380 per month - A meaningful and inspiring internship experience - An opportunity to develop your expertise in administrative information security duties - Flexibility in your working days through flexible hours and partial remote work - A work community ready to help when you need support - A tasty lunch benefit You could be the right intern for us if - You are nearing the end of higher education studies relevant to the role, for example in information and cyber security, security or risk management - You are interested in information and cyber security, risk management and compliance management - You have at least one year of work experience in total - You have strong written documentation and communication skills - You have good collaboration and interaction skills - You can understand broad topics and structure information - You are proactive and organised in your work - You take an active approach to learning and development It is also an advantage if you have - Knowledge of information security and data protection legislation - Knowledge of information security management models, frameworks and standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001 - Experience with Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) systems or comparable risk management and compliance tools - Experience preparing documentation, processes or guidelines - Experience in project work and planning and facilitating workshops - Experience using task-management software At Kela, we continuously develop the employee experience.
