Electrical bid estimator

The Technical Services unit provides technical maintenance, repair, and upgrading services for commercial, office and industrial properties as well as public buildings. You can train toward becoming an engineer within our own higher education program. We are now looking for an experienced electrical bid estimator in our Helsinki unit who can work independently. The role is full-time and permanent. You report to the business line manager. In this key role you will combine technical electrical knowledge with commercial insight. You will be responsible for bid estimation for various electrical projects and tenders, and for reporting on bid activities. If you are precise, analytical, and results-oriented, you may be the right person for us! Your tasks include independent bid estimation for electrical works and projects, quantity and cost estimation, pricing, and preparation of tender documents. You will work closely with sales, project managers, and other stakeholders. You will also develop costing processes and tools with other experts. The position requires suitable electrical engineering training and solid, versatile experience in electrical project bid estimation. We especially value experience in renovation and retrofit projects and the ability to identify and manage technical and commercial aspects of refurbishments. You are autonomous, systematic and accurate in your work. You have commercial thinking and the ability to see profitable packages. You should also have strong IT skills and experience with commonly used estimation software in the field. The role requires good stress tolerance and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Finnish (written and spoken) and good English are essential.
