About the role

We are looking for a Group Occupational Safety and Work Ability Manager for Koskisen to strengthen the development of occupational safety, occupational health, and well-being towards our vision of zero accidents. In this position, you will build a unified culture and impactful operating models to ensure that occupational safety and work ability management are visible and felt in daily operations. In this role, you will act as a sparring partner for management and supervisors and report to the HR Director. We are seeking a person with strong practical experience in occupational safety management within the manufacturing industry, as well as the ability to challenge established operating models and lead development in a goal-oriented, systematic manner in cooperation with the entire organization. **Key responsibilities include** - maintaining and developing safety and work ability operating models in cooperation with external and internal stakeholders - maintaining and developing safety and work ability reporting and ensuring communication - training and supporting management, supervisors, and operational activities in safety and work ability matters - active cooperation with relevant authorities and key stakeholders, such as occupational safety and rescue authorities, the National Institute for Occupational Health, occupational health services, pension insurance companies, and Koskisen's occupational safety organization - monitoring and communicating legislation, regulations, and authority requirements regarding occupational safety to responsible persons - statutory role as Occupational Safety Manager, ensuring the effective organization, maintenance, and development of occupational safety cooperation - directing and coordinating outsourced occupational health services - acting as the supervisor for the occupational safety representative In the initial phase of the position, the focus will be on mapping the current state and drafting a development plan based on it to build goal-oriented progress for the coming years. **We expect from you** - at least 5 years of experience in roles related to occupational safety, occupational health, or safety management in an industrial environment - a coaching and practical approach, and the ability to build trust with management, supervisors, and staff - knowledge of occupational safety legislation and authority requirements - ability to lead broad entities and implement development measures into practice - good interaction, presentation, and reporting skills - ability to communicate clearly, even regarding complex matters - good oral and written English skills - an analytical, systematic, and proactive way of working - willingness to utilize AI tools in your work Previous experience in work ability management, cooperation with occupational health services, or coaching/supervision training is considered an advantage. **Why Koskisen?** We offer you an impactful group-level role where you can develop occupational safety, work ability management, and common operating models over the long term.
