An experienced automation engineer is sought for a 6–12 month project in Vaanta to support a fleet modernization in the marine industry. Responsibilities include analyzing, documenting and migrating the existing control system functionality to a new platform, developing control operations for the new platform, configuring PLC and fieldbus solutions as part of a total system, and participating in system testing, functional verification and commissioning preparations. The role requires strong experience with CODESYS-based software development, engineering or DI background in automation/electrical/software engineering, understanding of industrial control systems and programmable logic, ability to analyze existing systems and transfer their functionality to new environments, and experience with technical documentation. Collaboration with the project team and other experts is essential. Fluency in Finnish and English is required. The position offers a salary range of 3,500–4,500 €/month, with final salary based on skills and experience. We value PLC programming experience in industrial automation and modernization projects, and familiarity with ACS800/ACS880/AC500 environments is a plus.
