A range of duties is available in large-scale kitchens, restaurants and different events. Duties and working hours vary by site. Large-scale kitchens generally operate on weekdays, while restaurant shifts often include evenings and weekends. This gives you the chance to use your skills in different kitchen environments and gain varied experience. What kind of professional are we looking for? We value cooking skills, an energetic approach and a desire to make good food. Your skills may have come from work experience, education or both. Not every role requires extensive experience: you can get started in assistant kitchen duties with less experience. More demanding food preparation and special events, on the other hand, require stronger professional skills and the ability to work independently. The most important thing is to find a role that matches your skills. Pay Pay is determined by the duties, the applicable collective agreement and your previous experience. Restaurants: Pay follows pay groups 3–4 of the MaRa-sector collective agreement, with work experience taken into account. Large-scale kitchens: Pay is determined by the collective agreement applied at the site. This may be the MaRa-sector agreement or the general private-sector collective agreement.
