Production Supervisor

This position reports to: Production Manager __ Your Role and Responsibilities We are looking for a new Production Supervisor to join our team at ABB Oy, Distribution Solutions in Vaasa. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily assembly line operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. You will lead, train, and motivate a team, enforce safety protocols, and implement quality control measures. Additionally, you will troubleshoot issues, maintain production records, and promote and execute continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with other p roduction supervisors, s upply chain management, o rder handling team, g lobal manufacturing support team, s ales, q uality , R&D and NPI-team. As a production supervisor you will also need to be prepared for some work in the evening shift as our production is mainly organized around a 2-shift model. The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, some hybrid work possibility You will be mainly accountable for: Planning, overseeing and supporting daily assembly line operations Ensuring safety, quality, efficient and on-time deliveries Ensuring that we reach the annual targets and customer expectations Leading, training and motivating production teams Continuous improvement Qualifications for the Role B. Sc. or M.Sc. degree in industrial management, electrical and/or automation, or related field A few years of working experience. Previous supervisory experience is considered an advantage Knowledge of mass production and logistics processes (including electronical equipment’s ), with ability to optimize these. Open-minded and enthusiastic about constant improvement and innovation. Understanding basic LEAN methods and financial factors Ability to lead and motivate a team, plan, oversee and, support assembly & testing operations. Solutions-oriented approach and decision-making abilities Team player with good communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders. Fluent written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English Self-motivated and result-oriented attitude with the ability to plan tasks and resources effectively to accomplish work duties Good MS Office and overall IT skills.
