About the role

We are looking to strengthen Pyhä Safaris’ team for the upcoming winter season. We seek an energetic, proactive and customer‑oriented person who enjoys both the Arctic nature of Lapland and customer service. The job is a versatile mix of safari guide duties and front desk customer service at our safari lodge in Pyhä village center. As a safari guide you will work on a variety of activities such as snowmobile safaris, guiding guests on reindeer or husky safaris, or leading groups on ice fishing, snowshoeing or electric snow scooter tours. We also operate our own ice karting track for high‑speed karting races. As a guide you’ll introduce guests to Lapland’s nature and act as a local guide. Workdays involve preparing and delivering activities, plus various cleaning, maintenance and equipment tasks. In customer service you’ll work with our front desk team at the lodge in Pyhä centre. You’ll greet guests, sell tours and activities, rent equipment and respond to emails and phone calls. We rent snowmobiles, electric snow scooters and snowshoes. FareHarbor and Travius booking systems are in use. We have our own sales/front desk staff, so you won’t have to handle the reception alone; when they are away they can cover reception independently. Work tasks vary with season and bookings. What we expect: excellent customer service attitude; energetic and proactive approach; good Finnish and English language skills; willingness to work evenings and weekends; ability to work independently and as part of a team; interest in Lapland’s nature, outdoor activities and program services. Previous safari guide, program services or customer service experience is an advantage. Active hobbies such as hiking, snowmobiling, ice fishing, snowshoeing, cycling or motorsport are also advantageous. First aid skills, good regional knowledge and driving experience are a plus. Knowledge of FareHarbor and Travius booking systems and suitable travel industry training are beneficial. We train for the role when needed – the most important thing for us is a positive attitude and willingness to learn. We offer a varied job in Lapland’s tourism, varied days indoors and outdoors, opportunities to work with a range of activities, a competitive salary based on experience, orientation and training, affordable lodging for seasonal workers and a friendly small team where you can take on diverse tasks. The position is a fixed‑term seasonal role under the Program Service industry collective agreement. The role starts in November–December 2026 and continues to about the end of March 2027. Working hours are 90–120 hours per 3 weeks, with hours and task emphasis shifting with the season and bookings; the work time follows the program service sector’s time‑balancing system. Additional language skills are considered an advantage. Welcome to Pyhä Safaris team!”,
