About the role
Would you like to take ownership of business controlling in an international industrial company? Vaski Group is looking for a Business Controller to join its financial team in Seinäjoki. Vaski Group is a fast-growing company in the industrial machinery sector, specialising in flat bar and sheet metal processing and automation. Over the past five years, the company has grown from €0 to over €50 million in revenue and from a team of just four people to 270 skilled professionals – all while maintaining strong profitability. Of the Group’s 270 employees, approximately 150 are based in Finland. Vaski combines the strengths of three established brands, Vaski, Pivatic, and Ursviken. The role offers an ambitious and fast-paced environment with opportunities to build and scale financial processes.
Job Details
Responsibilities
- Monitor the financial performance and costs of customer delivery projects
- Develop budgeting and forecasting
- Support operations with financial insights
- Follow R&D projects funded by sources such as Business Finland
- Develop Vaski Group’s controlling practices and reporting systems
- Handle financial matters related to delivery projects, such as bank guarantees
- Collaborate with production and project teams in Finland and Sweden
- Report to the Group Finance Director
Requirements
- A relevant degree, for example in finance, accounting, business or industrial engineering
- Approximately 5 years of experience in controlling or business controlling, with the ability to independently take ownership of financial analysis and development
- A proactive and analytical approach, with the confidence to challenge existing practices and drive improvements when necessary
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring project cost structures
- Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English
- Experience from manufacturing, industrial or similar environment (asset)
- Experience working in a growing, international organization where processes and practices are still evolving (asset)
- Familiarity with Power BI and/or Odoo (asset)
- Finnish or Swedish language skills (asset)
