Controller

We are looking for an experienced controller for a industrial company in Central Finland. The position is part-time (3 days per week) and temporary for six months. Starting in October according to agreement. The role is new in the company, and continuation after six months may be possible. Responsibilities: The controller will provide and analyze financial information needed for management decision-making. The focus is internal reporting, particularly monitoring profitability of operations and developing the function. The controller acts as an active partner to management and business, and will participate in company-wide meetings within their area of responsibility. The controller reports to the financial manager of the Finnish unit. If the candidate has external accounting experience, responsibilities may include some corporate reporting tasks for the group. Required skills: suitable university degree; strong internal accounting and financial analysis skills; experience in cost accounting in manufacturing industry; good Excel and IT skills and ability to use reporting tools; development mindset; fluent Finnish and English (written and spoken); external accounting experience is an advantage but not mandatory; experience in a group environment is an advantage. We offer: an interesting internal accounting role in an international group. We hope Central Finland will be your commuting area; you have your own car and can work on-site part of the workdays weekly. On-site work takes place mainly at the client's premises, but you will also have access to Finalean’s Grafilas office (Laukaantie 4). The job is new and initially part-time (3 days per week) for six months; during the six months, possibilities for continuation will be assessed and we welcome your preferences regarding continuation and part-time vs fixed-term arrangements. We follow the accounting sector collective agreement. Salary is company-specific and depends on experience, skills and the level of responsibility.
