We welcome applications to Lippajärvi Montessori Daycare for a fixed-term position of a social pedagogue in early childhood education for a group of 3–6-year-old children. The daycare operates under Espoo City and is maintained by a parent association. The setting is a warm, small, home-like daycare in Espoo’s Lippajärvi, based on Montessori pedagogy, focusing on individual child encounters and growth at the child’s own pace. The group size is 21, enabling calm daily life and individualized attention. The parents’ association and a committed board actively participate in the daycare’s operations and development. The role requires a qualification in early childhood education as a child caretaker (Kelpoisuus varhaiskasvatuksen lastenhoitajalle) according to the 540/2018 law. You should be committed to child-centered and respectful work, be a safe and reliable team-mate, and have strong collaboration and Finnish language skills. The job combines pedagogical responsibility, genuine encounters with children, cooperation with families, and hands-on work. We offer a unique, small, cozy working community where every employee is valued, with a small child group allowing you to meet children as individuals, monitor their development, and build meaningful relationships with children and families. We provide a supportive community and an active parent association. The position may be filled as a permanent Montessori teacher/guide or as a fixed-term early childhood education socionom, with Montessori education preferred but not always required. We warmly welcome you to join the Lippajärvi Montessori Daycare community.
