Aalto University is seeking a Procurement and Contract Lawyer for a one-year parental leave substitute position, ideally starting in September or October 2026. The role is part of the expert legal services team and focuses on providing legal support and development for the university's public procurement and procurement contracts. Key responsibilities include providing legal advice and guidance on the preparation, implementation, and decision-making of public procurement processes, as well as handling procurement-related contract matters. The role also involves managing procurement rectification claims and other procurement-related disputes, as well as participating in the development of operating models for procurement and contracts and providing legal training to staff. Additionally, the lawyer will support real estate companies in legal matters related to property development and lease agreements. The ideal candidate is a Master of Laws with at least two years of practical experience in public procurement and contracts. Knowledge of state aid, competition and public sector regulation, or legal expertise in AI, digital services, or construction is an advantage. The candidate should be self-directed, solution-oriented, and possess strong interpersonal skills, working fluently in both Finnish and English. Swedish language skills are considered an asset.
