About the role

We are seeking a leading IFRS financial reporting expert to strengthen our IFRS supervision. In this role you will bring a valuable perspective from a regulator’s viewpoint and influence investor information in Finland and Europe. The role is not routine; it requires high-level expert work and leverages extensive IFRS knowledge. You will gain a unique view of listed companies’ financial reporting and influence its content as a supervisor, supporting investor protection and market integrity. You will assess complex IFRS-related questions, challenge accounting policies, structure broad issues, and justify your views with regulatory basis. You will develop IFRS supervision together with domestic and European colleagues in a changing environment. The position requires more than 10 years of experience in external IFRS reporting for listed companies; a background in corporate reporting or in an audit firm is suitable. You should communicate fluently in Finnish and English, both written and spoken. A higher university degree is required. Good and up-to-date digital skills and willingness to use them in expert work. We also value experience in other areas of financial reporting such as national accounting regulation. The role emphasizes a goal-oriented, solution-focused approach and ability to justify views with regulatory backing. We value teamwork, constructive and persuasive argumentation, and sharing expertise within a small expert team. We offer an impactful expert role with societal relevance, opportunities for deepening, support from a capable team, flexible work arrangements and strong remote-work possibilities, and international exposure through European supervisory cooperation. Our values guide trustworthy and independent work. The position is permanent and located in Helsinki city centre with a salary level in the 18 pay grade and a base component of €6,075/month plus a personal performance component of 1–48% of the base. The role includes comprehensive occupational health services, generous holidays, a broad meal allowance and sport/culture and commuter benefits, as well as club activities and leisure facilities. For more information contact Tiina Visakorpi. The IFRS supervisory office monitors listed companies’ IFRS financial statements and sustainability reporting, supporting investor information quality and market confidence.
