We are seeking for our client an operator for a permanent position. The company develops and produces raw food products for well-known pet brands, including cat and dog foods, dry kibble and treats. The company was founded in 2013 and, as the business is still growing, new production facilities were opened in Lieto in 2020. With strong faith in Finnish food industry and its clean raw materials, combined with continuous development, we aim to offer better and more environmentally friendly products in the future. As an operator your role mainly involves ensuring the operation of the dry food production line for pets and taking comprehensive care of it. Some tasks include processing and handling meat raw materials. You will operate various machines and the line independently and ensure production stays running. You work independently but enjoy being part of a team. The team includes helper operators and packers. On the extrusion line you become part of the core of the pet dry food production where automation and technology guide the process. The job includes managing different stages of the line from raw material handling to finished product. You supervise and adjust process parameters, take care of proper equipment operation and make independent decisions when responding to potential disturbances. The job requires technical understanding of process flows and the ability to interpret process parameters. The role is varied, combining practical tasks such as changing big bags at stations with technical monitoring and decision making. A solid foundation for operator work is prior experience in food industry production, especially automated production lines and systems. Independence is natural for you and you are not afraid of taking responsibility. A ready-to-go candidate does not yet need to be fully trained; the most important is willingness and ability to learn. We value the ability to adapt to physical work and the environment of meat processing plants. Good judgement and mathematical thinking help you succeed; forklift experience is a plus. The working language is Finnish and/or English, at least one fluently spoken. The job is in three shifts. Our client’s factory is in constant growth and we focus strongly on developing our processes.
