Nurse

We are seeking a nurse for Malmi Hospital wards 11 and 13. Malmi Hospital is a small yet efficient, but homely facility with five Helsinki city ward beds, the HUS emergency department and monitoring unit, laboratory and imaging services, and the Malmi health centre. The hospital offers good restaurant and café services and a gym for staff. Our aim is rapid treatment of acute illness and supporting patients’ functioning. Each ward has its own physiotherapist and strong ward pharmacy services. Specialist medical consultations are available. We emphasize teamwork with patients and families, and multidisciplinary, cross‑organisational collaboration with home care and follow‑up facilities. We value patient‑centered care. Qualifications: Bachelor of Health Care/Nursing or a former polytechnic degree or a specialized nurse degree or a nursing/ midwifery degree that includes licensure as a nurse. The licensing must be valid in Finland according to the Health Care Professionals Act (559/1994, 1200/2007). Finnish language proficiency at good spoken and satisfactory written level. Before a decision, applicants must provide a medical assessment regarding their ability to perform the duties. Vaccination protection under the Infectious Diseases Act and tuberculosis clearance under §55 are required. A valid LOP/LOVe pharmacology license must be obtained within one month of starting employment.
