Café Manager

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and inspiring Café Manager to join the Relove Café team in a permanent, full-time position at Helsinki Airport. As Café Manager, you will lead a team of around 15–20 people and ensure the café’s day-to-day operations run smoothly, to a high standard and efficiently. Your most important task is to help people succeed together: you will build a strong team spirit, motivate the team and ensure leadership is clear and fair. In addition to café employees, your team includes shift managers and assistant café managers, whose work you will guide and support. Your role is practical and operational. You will take part in the café’s daily work and be responsible for organising operations and staffing, product quality and availability, orders, stock and waste management, and delivering an excellent customer experience. What we offer – A permanent, full-time position – A varied and responsible supervisory role in an international airport environment – The opportunity to lead and develop both the café’s operations and its employees – A fixed monthly salary of €2,800–€3,500, depending on your experience and skills – Varied working hours from Monday to Sunday, according to the café’s opening hours, between 04:00 and 22:00 What we expect from you – Strong practical experience in the café business and previous experience leading a team. You know the day-to-day realities of a busy café and can organise and prioritise work and solve situations as they arise. Experience in busy, high-customer-volume environments and leading other supervisors is especially valued. – A positive, people-oriented and inspiring leadership style that is also firm and consistent. You are present in your team’s daily work, give feedback and are willing to address challenging situations constructively. Leading by example and creating a positive working atmosphere comes naturally to you. The role also requires – Strong Finnish and English skills because of the nature of the work; other language skills are an advantage – A hygiene passport and an alcohol passport – Readiness to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends – A clean background, as airport employees undergo a security clearance Does this sound like your next step?
