Environmental Inspector

Oulun seudun ympäristötoimi -liikelaitos functions as the municipal environmental protection, environmental health and veterinary authority across seven municipalities. We are now seeking an Environmental Inspector for a fixed-term appointment from the date of appointment to 16 November 2026 to 16 July 2027. The duties of the Environmental Inspector include oversight, permit processing, guidance and advisory tasks under specific environmental protection laws, with emphasis on oversight and permit processing of animal shelters, harbors and professional waste handling operations, and on land use planning guidance. A suitable higher university degree is required. The role requires initiative, independent work, and fluent Finnish writing and speaking. A valid B driving license is required. Good interaction and teamwork skills are an advantage. The position carries a two-month probationary period. Applications are preferred via electronic application form.
