Geotechnical designer is a core part of our multidisciplinary design teams. The role involves geotechnical design and dimensioning for infrastructure, bridge, rail, park and building projects, in often challenging ground and urban environments. The work serves all of WSP Finland’s business lines, making projects varied and multidisciplinary. The position can be tailored to emphasise expert or design tasks, or to lead the overall scope as a geotechnical Responsible Designer or as a project manager. Tasks may include geotechnical design and sizing for various projects; responsibilities of a Responsible Designer as per experience; collaboration with clients and different design disciplines; and the possibility to expand the role into project management. The nationwide search and flexible hybrid location allow collaboration from multiple sites: Helsinki, Tampere, Oulu, Turku and Seinäjoki. WSP’s geotechnical community consists of over 40 specialists, providing support and resources for demanding situations. We value Finnish safety-language skills and appreciate English as well. Familiarity with FISE certifications is welcomed and supported.
