The University of Arts and Design (Taideyliopisto) within the Arts University consortium seeks a Part-time, fixed-term Deputy Dean for Research to begin 1 January 2027 or as agreed. The role is to lead and develop research activities at Teatterikorkeakoulu (The Theatre Academy) as part of Taideyliopisto, represent the school’s research and doctoral education in university-level bodies, coordinate collaboration within the academy and with national and international partners, and act as the dean’s deputy when the dean is prevented from fulfilling the duties. The appointee will participate in developing doctoral education and contribute to the university’s research council, as well as other related groups. Requirements include a doctoral degree, excellent interpersonal skills, and deep knowledge of artistic research. Proficiency in Finnish, and good Swedish and English are required. Desirable: collaborative leadership experience and broad professional networks nationally and internationally. The appointment is for 30% of full-time work, for three years, starting 1 January 2027 or as agreed. The application deadline is 15 September 2026 (23:59 EEST). Include a CV with salary request.
