We are seeking a fixed-term, shift-capable Group Assistant for Lybeckerinpuisto Daycare from 1 September 2026 to 31 May 2027. The role involves supporting a child’s growth, development, and learning, working in a team with guardians, and helping the child participate in activities and in implementing early childhood education plan goals. You will consider each child’s individual needs within the group and as part of the learning environment, including the use of alternative communication methods. Requirements include knowledge of early childhood education documents, strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, ability to interact sensitively with children, good Finnish language skills, and English considered an advantage. We value an enthusiastic, positive, and developmental approach and proficiency in social-emotional interaction methods. Eligibility requires the early childhood education qualification under the Public Sector Act or other suitable education; if no eligible candidate is found, the role may be filled by someone without the required degree. The selected will provide a police clearance and tuberculosis verification as required by law before starting. The contract follows the municipal master collective agreement (KVTES). A probationary period applies based on the length of the fixed term.
