Sheet Metal Worker

We are seeking a sheet metal shear operator for our client, to strengthen the production team in the Jyväskylä region. The role suits someone with prior experience in shearing and metalworking, who wants to do high-quality craftsmanship in a modern work environment. We will fill the position as soon as a suitable person is found – apply quickly. There may also be opportunities for candidates with less experience but good attitude and willingness to learn. JOB DUTIES: - Shearing of steel pieces of various thicknesses and sizes - Set-up and optimization of tools and machine settings - Following drawings and work instructions and carrying out measurements - Ensuring production quality and inspecting manufactured parts - Cooperating with production team and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow - Observing safety requirements and participating in machine maintenance REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS: - Prior experience in shearing and programming - Good ability to read drawings and accuracy in work - Ability to adjust settings and tune shear machines - Independent and responsible work approach and teamwork skills - Suitability for shift or day work as needed - Proficiency in Finnish OFFER: - Competitive salary based on experience and skills - Possibility of permanent employment after six months - Diverse and independent tasks in a supportive workplace - Occupational health care - Help with finding housing for applicants relocating from outside the area INTERESTED?
