Family Day Care Provider

The Municipality of Nurmijärvi is seeking a Family Day Care Provider to work in their own home starting September 1, 2026, for a permanent employment contract. The role involves providing early childhood education and care in a home-like environment, where care, education, and learning take place in a small group. The provider can care for up to four children simultaneously, and a preschool-aged child or school-aged child may be placed in the group for the afternoon. Requirements include a professional qualification suitable for the role or other appropriate education in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). The employer values interest and experience in early childhood education, the ability to work independently, good cooperation skills, sensitivity, and a developmental approach. A child-centered and positive attitude is highly appreciated. Selected candidates must provide a criminal record extract and a tuberculosis clearance if necessary. The position includes a six-month probationary period.
