Healthcare Assistant

As a healthcare assistant, you work in a multidisciplinary team and play an important role in supporting daily life for the elderly and promoting wellbeing. You plan, implement and evaluate care and rehabilitation-based care, and act as a resident’s own nurse. Riihikoti offers round-the-clock assisted living, short-term care and communal living, allowing you to utilise your skills in a varied way and participate in building a good daily life for residents. The job provides an opportunity to influence the quality of life of older people in a meaningful way. The work is three-shift. What we offer You will have the chance to work in a versatile and developing unit, with good orientation to the role and the support of a multidisciplinary and encouraging work community. You will be involved in the development of nursing work together with the team and contribute to developing procedures. What we expect from you We expect a proactive attitude, flexibility and good collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in Finnish language (spoken and written) is required. It is advantageous to have a valid LOVe medicines competence, familiarity with the RAI assessment tool, good IT skills and a hygienic certificate. Eligibility for the position requires a professional qualification in social and health care (practical nurse) or an equivalent pre‑secondary qualification and a valid registration in JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki.
