We are now looking for an Assistant Store Manager for our Heinola store. The Assistant Store Manager’s role at Puuilo The Assistant Store Manager’s work is responsible and varied. Together with the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager serves as the operational first-line supervisor for store staff. Together with the Store Manager, they are responsible for store management, employee well-being and training, sales, safety, cleanliness and customer satisfaction. The Assistant Store Manager ensures the store remains current and achieves its sales budget through appropriate and timely merchandise management, work guidance and the commercial presentation of the store. They ensure that staff know what to do and when, and coach and develop team members’ skills. We lead with empathy and a solution-oriented approach so that team members can develop in their work. An interactive feedback culture is part of everyday life. We recognise one another’s successes and dare to discuss what we could do better. Feedback is given in daily work to help staff develop their professional skills and improve the team’s performance. Pay according to the collective agreement: The Assistant Store Manager is paid according to collective-agreement pay grade D, with a salary ranging from €2,354 to €2,928 per month. Previous work experience and education affect the amount. Collective-agreement evening and weekend supplements are also paid. Working hours fall between 6:00 and 20:00 and include weekend shifts, so you will work at varied times. When the Store Manager is away, you will act as their deputy. What do we expect from you? Experience in retail supervisory work or positions of responsibility. You understand the retail operating environment and can guide your team successfully toward shared goals. Strong commercial judgement. You have a strong commercial perspective and can make decisions that support business growth and profitability. A desire to develop in your work and as a supervisor. You are motivated to learn new things and continually develop yourself as a supervisor. You also aim to support your team members’ development and help them achieve their goals. A coaching leadership approach. You have excellent interaction skills, are empathetic in your supervisory work and know how to coach team members to perform at their best. You create an open and encouraging atmosphere in which everyone has the opportunity to succeed. The ability to lead in a changing operating environment.
