We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Electrical Lead to support the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure within a mission-critical data center environment in Lappeenranta, Finland. The successful candidate will have a strong electrical background and experience working with power distribution systems, industrial maintenance, or critical facilities operations. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and safety of data center electrical and mechanical systems while supporting 24/7 operations. Key Responsibilities include operating and maintaining critical electrical systems such as UPS, switchgear, transformers, backup generators, ATS/STS equipment, battery systems, and PDUs; monitoring facility systems; performing routine inspections; executing preventive and corrective maintenance; diagnosing equipment failures; supporting emergency response; coordinating maintenance with vendors; following safety regulations; supporting lockout/tagout procedures; maintaining compliance with standards; documenting maintenance; participating in shift operations; maintaining logs; assisting with commissioning; supporting operational improvements; and possessing relevant qualifications such as experience with electrical infrastructure, power systems, troubleshooting, and safety standards. Preferred experience includes data center or critical facility experience, SFS 6002 certification, medium-voltage systems, HVAC knowledge, CMMS/BMS/EPMS systems familiarity, and Finnish language skills. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain critical electrical systems including UPS systems, switchgear, transformers, backup generators, ATS/STS equipment, battery systems, and PDUs
- Monitor facility systems using BMS/EPMS platforms
- Perform routine inspections and operational checks of critical infrastructure
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures and alarms
- Support emergency response and incident recovery activities
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors during maintenance activities
- Follow Finnish electrical safety regulations and company safety procedures
- Support lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe switching operations
- Maintain compliance with standards
- Document all maintenance activities
- Participate in 24/7 shift operations
- Maintain logs, reports, and maintenance records
- Assist with commissioning and testing of new equipment and infrastructure upgrades
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency and reliability
Requirements
