We are seeking for a customer company Konecranes Finland Oy a machinist for the Hyvinkää factory's rope-lathed production. You will be employed with Barona for an initial six-month fixed-term contract. Work is carried out on a rope-lathe at 40 hours per week, and you must be prepared to work in all shift models. The primary working time is two-shift, with shifts at 6:00–22:00. The task is paid according to the Teknologiateollisuus collective agreement. JOB DESCRIPTION You will work on a rope-lathe, where hollow drums of various sizes are machined. The drum diameters can be several meters and lengths up to 8 meters. You will use rope-lathes, a hall crane and other necessary tools, such as measuring instruments and gauges. Your duties include performing piece setups on the machine, as well as quality inspection of products. The rope drums are machined to target dimensions and rope grooves are milled into them. The job requires precision, care and especially a calm working attitude.
