Literacy Coordinator
Reading literacy project coordinator in Lohja; suitable higher education degree and own car required.
We are hiring a Reading Literacy Coordinator for Lohja City Library for the Monilukutaitoinen Lohja project for the period 11 January–31 December 2027. The project aims to promote and develop multiliteracy among all residents of Lohja, regardless of age or background, create lasting operating models, and make multiliteracy part of the city’s culture. The Reading Literacy Coordinator will plan and carry out literacy work in accordance with the project’s objectives. The project will include various workshops and lectures. It will also test new ways to promote reading, critical thinking, and different areas of multiliteracy. The coordinator will be supported by a working group established for the project. The city library’s management team will monitor the achievement of the project’s objectives together with the coordinator. We value an independent, innovative and experimental approach, cooperation and organisational skills, and confidence in presenting. Knowledge of the library sector and pedagogical skills are an advantage. Working time is 36.25 hours per week. The main workplace is the main library. The work requires readiness to work at other Lohja City Library branches. Use of a personal car is essential for carrying out the work. The work starts on 11 January 2027 or as agreed.
