We are seeking a substitute Swedish and French language teacher for Haukilahden School for the period 19 October 2026 to 11 April 2027. The role includes 14 hours of Swedish instruction and 7 hours of French instruction, including A2 French for 9th grade. Haukilahden School is an approximately 460-student upper comprehensive school in South Espoo. Our school offers students broad and solid general education. Respectful behavior, mutual respect, tolerance, and a sense of responsibility and international outlook are central goals. All students should feel part of the school community and Finnish society. The school’s address is Haukilahden koulu, Koulutanhua 3, 02170 Espoo. Working hours: OVTeS terms. The position is fixed-term and permanent within the civil service. Salary: in accordance with OVTES and pricing unit basic salaries (see link). Qualification requirement: Qualification as a teacher of Swedish and French in basic education. Teacher qualifications are defined by Decree 986/98; a basic-education teacher must have excellent oral and written Finnish. We also consider non-qualified applicants in fixed-term roles. Applicants must present a criminal background certificate as required by the law. We value experience as a language teacher in upper secondary school, knowledge of the curriculum, and good cooperation and interpersonal skills.
