We are seeking operators for the plastics industry in the Oulu region to work on a production polishing and plastics coating line. Our client is a Finnish, growing family business involved in plastic materials processing and downstream processing. They specialise in mechanical processing of plastics, thermoforming, surface treatment and adopting new technologies in plastic products. The role involves participating broadly in the production and downstream processing of plastic products, including coating of plastic sheets on automatic and manual coating lines, downstream processing using various forming methods, operating production equipment and monitoring the process, participating in developing new products and manufacturing methods, and ensuring quality as part of daily production. The job offers the opportunity to engage with modern manufacturing methods and new technologies and to develop your own skills in practical work. Responsibilities
- Participate in plastic product manufacturing and downstream processing
- Coat plastic sheets on automatic and manual coating lines
- Utilise various forming methods for downstream processing
- Operate production equipment and monitor the process
- Contribute to development of new products and manufacturing methods
- Ensure quality as part of daily production
Requirements
- Relevant technical education or equivalent technical know-how
- Knowledge of plastic materials is advantageous
- Experience with production automation or robotics is advantageous
- Robotics or production automation programming skills are advantageous
- Good Finnish language skills and willingness to work shifts
