Personal care assistant

Join Avustajasi Validia Oy to help shape meaningful stories in people’s lives. We are growing our team of personal assistants for clients in the Askola region. This role involves home and community-based assistance to individuals who, due to illness or disability, need support with daily tasks, hobbies, study, housekeeping, and social activities. A crucial part of the job can also be to provide companionship and conversation, enabling clients to live at home as long as possible and participate in a meaningful daily life with autonomy. The work offers variety and flexibility; shifts are arranged with the client, and you work independently adhering to agreed practices. No previous training or experience in the field is required, though those qualifications are valued. We offer a collective agreement-based wage under the Private Social Services Sector TES (pay grade G16A), flexible working hours, the opportunity to learn more about disability work and care, orientation tailored to your skills, a supportive professional community, and the possibility of pursuing further studies to work in other social and health care roles. Requirements include genuine interest in assisting others, a positive attitude, willingness to learn and develop, and adequate Finnish language skills (other languages are a plus). We require vaccination protection under the Infectious Diseases Act and tuberculin testing as per the law, and background check in accordance with social and health care supervision rules.
