Experienced software or SaaS project leader wanted to take responsibility for Granite’s implementation projects and develop how we lead them.
Location: remote / hybrid in Helsinki or Tampere
Lead Project Manager role at a glance:
Role: You are responsible for delivering Granite software implementation projects and for the operational leadership and development of project operations.
Responsibilities: Around 70–80% of your work is leading your own customer projects and technical implementation. The remaining 20–30% focuses on portfolio management, resourcing, prioritisation and developing shared practices.
Projects: You lead several SaaS implementations simultaneously, from projects completed in a few days to technically demanding customer projects lasting several months.
Expertise: You have strong experience leading SaaS projects, working with customers and developing project management. You understand technical entities and can lead experienced specialists’ collaboration without formal line-management responsibility.
Workplace and company: Granite is a growing software company founded in Finland, with 23 employees. More than 250 organisations use its GRC platform. We work flexibly remotely and from our Tampere and Helsinki offices.
Salary: €4,800–€5,300/month + a bonus tied to company growth.
The position is especially suitable if you want to continue leading customer projects and take part in technical implementation. If you are primarily looking for a strategic leadership role with no direct responsibility for projects, this is probably not the right fit.
Languages: Fluent spoken and written Finnish and good English.
You will use your project management experience and bring new perspectives. Granite already has practices that work, but also wants to improve. You will have genuine responsibility and room to contribute.
You will lead software implementation projects and their operational management, work with customers, own projects and improve ways of working with an experienced team. You can influence project operations as a whole, including the project portfolio, resources and shared practices. You will combine hands-on project work with operational leadership. Projects range from straightforward implementations to technically and organisationally demanding engagements. You will develop operations with knowledgeable colleagues who understand the Granite platform and risk management. The company offers responsibility and freedom, a low hierarchy and an emphasis on balancing work and life. Work can be done remotely or in a hybrid arrangement, according to your preference.
Granite is a Finnish-founded SaaS company whose GRC platform helps organisations manage business risks, information security and compliance. Customers use it to understand risks, improve practices and make better decisions. Granite is a product company focused on developing its own platform over the long term. The company has 23 employees. Employees are expected to take responsibility, share expertise and suggest solutions. Roles can change as the company and employees’ interests develop; career progression does not have to mean becoming a manager. Since Granite joined the WeKomply group in autumn 2026, future opportunities may also arise in group-wide roles or another WeKomply company.
Once a customer purchases the Granite platform, the implementation project ensures that the solution works for that organisation’s needs. This includes configuring the system, understanding the customer’s practices and requirements, and coordinating technical and functional elements. Projects are mainly SaaS implementations. Some are straightforward and completed in days or weeks. Others involve large organisations and public-sector customers, multiple stakeholders, technical requirements, integrations and carefully defined deliverables; they may last several months and sometimes up to a year.
You lead your own implementation projects, around 70–80% of the role. You plan, deliver and successfully complete projects from beginning to end, ensuring that the customer, Granite team and other parties know what is being done, when and by whom. You plan and monitor schedules, workload, goals and deliverables; lead customer collaboration and turn needs into clear implementation plans; configure the platform with specialists; coordinate technical questions, dependencies and changes; anticipate risks, solve problems and keep projects moving; and ensure quality, schedule and agreed budget. Good project management means making progress: when a customer decision is pending or an unexpected obstacle appears, you identify the next step, contact the right people and help the project move forward. You do not need prior knowledge of Granite’s platform. We will introduce you to the product and its technical features. We hope you are interested in software and learning how to configure the solution for customers.
You also lead and develop project operations, around 20–30% of the role. The project team currently has three experienced project managers who know the product and customer needs well. The number and variety of projects have increased, and we want to make their management more systematic. Coordination, practical project leadership and technical specialist work are currently concentrated among the same people, which creates a burden and can slow projects down.
You will maintain an overall view of active projects, their status, obstacles and next steps. You will allocate projects among project managers and work with the team to ensure sensible resourcing and prioritisation. You will clarify planning, documentation, monitoring, customer communication and shared methods. You will support other project managers, share expertise and put new practices into use together. You will help track project progress, resource use, lead times, customer experience and profitability. We are not looking for a heavy project management model or reporting for its own sake; we want clear practices that make work easier and improve customer service.
The project team is part of Customer Success, which also includes account management and customer support. The whole team is led by Customer Success Team Lead Kasper, with whom you will work closely. You are responsible for day-to-day project operations, project allocation, guiding project managers’ work and developing shared practices. The position does not include formal line-management responsibility.
There is no need to start from scratch. Practices for smaller, standardised implementations are already well developed and many work efficiently. Larger and more complex projects need more consistent practices for planning, delivery, documentation and monitoring. Some current approaches developed as projects progressed and have not yet been improved as much as we would like. You will bring your experience to this work. Success also requires working well with people: experienced colleagues have established ways of working, and introducing new practices calls for collaboration and persistence. The team recognises the need for improvement and wants to make project operations better.
During the first months, you will learn the product, customers, team and current projects. You will gradually take responsibility for implementations and build an overall understanding of project operations. As you settle in, you will take more independent responsibility for coordination and shared practices. After a year, we hope implementations will progress more predictably and smoothly; schedules, resources and potential issues will be clear; customers will receive quality implementation on schedule; specialists will have more time for their expertise; and practical, shared practices will support the growth of project operations.
What we offer: a responsible and varied role combining your own project work, customer collaboration and development of project operations; the opportunity to influence practices and work directly with people responsible for customers, product and business; experienced and friendly colleagues who share expertise; freedom and flexibility to work remotely or from the Helsinki and Tampere offices, flexible hours, and separately agreed meetings at our office or customer premises. Benefits include occupational healthcare, leisure-time accident insurance, comprehensive health insurance, ePassi benefits, a phone benefit and two hours of working time per month for exercise. Monthly salary is €4,800–€5,300 depending on experience and expertise, plus a bonus model tied to company growth.
We are looking for strong experience leading software projects, including independently delivering customer projects and managing schedules, resources, budgets, risks and customer communication. You have experience managing several projects at once, can prioritise and maintain the overall picture, and know how to develop practices people will use. You have strong interaction and customer leadership skills, can raise difficult matters and maintain agreed goals constructively. You understand technology and are interested in software; you do not need to be a developer, but want to understand the solution and participate in practical work. You can lead collaboration without formal authority by listening, explaining and setting an example. Fluent spoken and written Finnish is essential because it is the company’s internal working language and most customer projects are in Finnish. Good practical English is enough for international customers.
In your application, describe the software or SaaS projects you have led, how you have developed project practices and what responsibility you would like next.
Apply by creating your profile and answering a few questions through the recruitment system. Applications are reviewed during the application period, so apply as soon as possible if the role appeals to you. The application deadline is 8 November 2026. Questions can be sent to recruiter Linda at TalentBee: linda@talentbee.io.
The process begins with a short introductory conversation with Linda. Next, you meet your future team lead Kasper. You will also meet other Granite colleagues in person, including HR & Operations Lead Tiiu and one of the project managers Joel, Pauliina or Petteri. This stage includes a case exercise that simulates the actual work. In the final stage, references are checked and you discuss a personal Growth Plan prepared for you and a possible job offer.
