Weight Engineer

Helsinki Shipyard is seeking a Weight Engineer to join our Naval Architecture department. The Weight Engineer is responsible for calculating, analyzing, and tracking weight distribution throughout the entire shipbuilding process. You will work both independently and in collaboration with several Yard departments to coordinate weight data across teams to guarantee contractual compliance. You will also work closely with a Project Engineer and a Hydrodynamics Specialist. This is a challenging role that takes you right to the heart of shipbuilding. Previous shipbuilding experience is not required. This role is well-suited for someone transitioning into the marine industry or starting their career in this field To succeed in this role: You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Experience with weight management software and tools is seen as an advantage. You have strong mathematical and analytical skills.
