Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology is seeking a field-based Customer Support Engineer to join our Sweden team. The role involves installing, maintaining and upgrading plasma processing systems, on-site customer support across Sweden, and occasional Nordic-region travel. You will troubleshoot with technical teams, provide detailed service reports, and assist the technical helpdesk. Strong electrical/electronic/mechatronics background, field service experience and fluency in Swedish and English are required, plus a driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade plasma processing systems and software
- Provide on-site customer support ensuring maximum equipment uptime
- Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Provide clear service reports after each visit
- Support the technical helpdesk when needed
- Track and report system performance and issues
- Manage expenses and documentation
Requirements
- A qualification in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering (HNC or higher)
- Proven field service experience
- Experience in semiconductor or high-tech industries (desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Strong PC/PLC skills (preferred)
- Fluency in Swedish and English
- A full driving licence
- Proactive, independent mindset with excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel extensively
