Technology Architect

Job Summary Serve as a Technology Architect specializing in Google Cloud Platform and Apigee solutions for a hybrid work model day shift role with no travel. Design scalable secure and high performing API platforms that enable seamless integration of banking and wealth management systems while ensuring reliability regulatory compliance and consistent customer value delivery across digital channels. Responsibilities Architect end to end API solutions on Google Cloud Platform using Apigee products to enable secure scalable and reliable integration between enterprise applications and external partners in a hybrid work environment. Design robust API proxies policies and flows in Apigee Edge and Apigee OPDK that optimize performance ensure consistent request handling and support reusable services across multiple business domains. Develop standardized integration patterns for APIGEE Integration that streamline connectivity between on premises systems cloud services and third party platforms while maintaining strong governance and observability. Coordinate with product teams in banking and wealth management domains to translate complex functional requirements into detailed technical designs that align with enterprise architecture standards. Optimize API performance by defining caching strategies payload transformations and traffic management rules that improve response time resilience and resource utilization for consumer applications. Implement comprehensive security controls such as authentication authorization threat protection and data masking within Apigee solutions to protect sensitive financial information and meet regulatory requirements. Establish and maintain API lifecycle processes including versioning deprecation monitoring and incident management to ensure stable operations in a day shift environment without travel expectations. Create detailed technical documentation including architecture diagrams design specifications deployment guidelines and operational runbooks that enable consistent implementation by engineering teams. Collaborate with DevOps and cloud operations teams to define CI CD pipelines logging strategies and observability standards that support automated deployments and proactive issue detection for Apigee workloads. Guide development teams on best practices for API design error handling and contract management so that services remain maintainable testable and aligned with enterprise integration guidelines. Conduct architecture reviews and design validations to identify risks gaps and improvements ensuring that API and integration solutions support long term scalability and maintainability for financial products. Analyze production metrics and customer feedback to identify optimization opportunities and enhancements that increase reliability throughput and user satisfaction across digital channels. Coordinate with security risk and compliance stakeholders to ensure that all API and integration architectures meet internal audit requirements and adhere to relevant banking and wealth management regulations. Qualifications Combine eight to ten years of overall technology experience with deep hands on expertise in Google Cloud Platform services relevant to API management integration and security. Demonstrate strong practical experience in designing and implementing complex API solutions using Apigee Edge and Apigee OPDK including policy configuration gateway administration and environment management. Apply advanced knowledge of APIGEE Integration capabilities to connect diverse enterprise systems while ensuring data consistency transaction integrity and robust error handling in distributed environments. Leverage experience in financial services and preferably COTS products in banking asset management and wealth domains to design architectures that support industry specific processes and regulatory constraints. Utilize solid understanding of hybrid deployment models networking fundamentals and secure connectivity patterns to design solutions that span on premises data centers and Google Cloud Platform. Employ effective communication and stakeholder management skills to work closely with cross functional teams and business partners ensuring that architectural decisions are clearly understood and adopted. Use strong analytical and problem solving abilities to troubleshoot complex integration issues perform root cause analysis and implement long term corrective actions that reduce operational incidents.
