We are seeking five full-time social care workers for home-based services in mental health and substance abuse housing and rehabilitation services across the Kanta-Häme region. The positions are new in our team and aim to strengthen the service. You will work across the Kanta-Häme region, with day shifts on weekdays. The start date is September 2026 or by agreement. You will be part of a 12-person team where joy in work, strong professional skills, and good esprit de corps are visible in daily life. Our work community is supportive and safe, and humor, open interaction and colleagues’ support guide collaboration. In the job, you support clients in independent living and daily management and strengthen their functional capacity with a rehabilitative approach. Work is based on individualized client and rehabilitation plans aiming to reduce the need for support and to aid independent coping. Tasks include guiding and supporting clients according to their needs and cooperating with clients’ networks. We expect you to have expertise in mental health and substance abuse work, readiness to operate in changing social work tasks, and the ability to work independently. The role includes regular client visits to clients’ homes. The job requires good communication and collaboration skills, the ability to handle pressure, and readiness to meet challenging and rapidly changing client situations professionally and safely. A driver’s license and immunization protection required for the role. The qualification requirement is a social and health care sector basic qualification or an equivalent degree. Registration with the central register of social and health care professionals is required before starting employment. The position’s pay is 2611.70 €/month. In addition, there is experience-based pay that may amount to 0–8%. The service time also affects vacation accrual. The law requires a police background check for working with the elderly and disabled. Salary and other terms are determined according to HYVTES or SOTE agreements. Probation period is six months. In direct patient and client work, immunization protection and a health certificate related to tuberculosis are required.
