We are seeking a translator for Lohja City Administration Services for a permanent position starting from August 3, 2026. Our administration services employ approximately 20 professionals in various roles. In addition to translation services, we handle office, legal, and procurement services. Lohja is a voluntarily bilingual municipality, where the following official documents are primarily translated from Finnish to Swedish: - Announcements and public notices - City council meeting invitations, agendas, and minutes - Responses to Swedish-language proposals, initiatives, complaints, applications, etc. - City website - Information sent to Swedish-speaking students and daycare children - Official communication to residents (e.g., forms with instructions) - Material required for cooperation with neighboring bilingual municipalities - Job advertisements The role requires good oral and written skills in both Finnish and Swedish, independent judgment, and organizational skills. The ability to work proactively, flexibly, and independently, along with good IT and information retrieval skills, is essential. Good interaction and collaboration skills within the organization are also required. Experience in municipal translation work and familiarity with municipal decision-making are considered an advantage. You will be using Trados Studio 2021 Professional translation tool. The position follows office hours, 36.25 hours/week. Partial remote work is possible. The application process includes a video task. Please attach your video link to the application form. The salary level is €3,654.13/month. Additional experience-based pay, up to 8%, is paid if applicable. The position is subject to a six (6) month probation period. The employer may require a health certificate from Keski-Uudenmaan Työterveys Oy, Lohja office, within one month of starting employment. Interviews will be held in week 25, June 15-16, 2026.
